When should I place an order for my custom invitations?

We've received an overwhelming response to our custom invitations and were booked out well in advance in 2016. We've restructured the way you place orders so we can celebrate with even more of you. 

Orders will open the first week of each month for dispatch the following month.
Eg Orders open 1 – 7 FEB. Orders placed in this time frame will be dispatched in early MARCH. Order placed between 8-28 FEB will be dispatched in APRIL

Before placing your order consider when you want to send your invites out (allowing enough time to RSVP). This is the date we will work to.

For Weddings in 2017 bookings are open and filling fast. Bookings capacity has been exhausted for wedding dates prior to May 2017. We recommend booking in your invitation and stationery as soon as you set the date. 

How do I order a custom invite?

Head to our How It Works page to step through he process then over to our Custom Invitation Order page to submit your request.

We can also match envelope liners, cupcake flags, banners and thank you cards to your invitations.

Should your vision be a little more grand and expand on the services mentioned above, please have a chat to us and we’ll do our very best to bring them to life.

We recommend you supply us with a few inspo pics to get the ball rolling and nail the look you are after.

 How long do Custom Invitations take?

Custom orders open the first week of every month only, for the next month delivery. Eg Orders open 1 Feb – 8 Feb. Orders placed in this time frame will be dispatched in early March.

Before placing your order consider when you want to send your invites out to your guests to ensure you allow enough time.

We aim to turnaround your custom artwork in 10-15 business days from confirmation of order and all details correctly supplied. This is subject to workload – we’ll be sure to let you know when we can send artwork if we are under the pump for party season.

What happens after I place my order?

We will email you to confirm your order and provide a quote. You will be supplied with a PDF design proof prior to printing. You have the ability to make changes up to 3 times. Additional changes over this will be charged at $10 per proof. Though we’re quite nifty with the spell checker, we recommend you carefully double check for any errors including checking of addresses and phone numbers. It is the clients’ responsibility to ensure these are correct. We will not be held liable for errors once printed.

Once you are happy with the design, please reply to us APPROVED. We will send you an invoice for payment prior to printing. Proof of payment must be sent to us. If for any reason you do not proceed with your order AFTER artwork has been supplied you will incur the $40 artwork fee.

We cut all orders and assemble them with our own bare hands. Once your proof is approved we need 3-5 business days to print, cut and assemble. Please note, for foil printing an additional 5-7 days is required. Should this time vary for any reason we’ll be sure to contact you straight away. We are always happy to work closely with you for any orders needed quickly!

How much do custom invitations cost?

Custom invitations start from $40 including your unique artwork and 10 invitations/ envelopes excluding weddings. Additional invites/ envelopes are $1.95 each. Speciality printing (like foil) are charged in addition to these fees.

Bespoke wedding packages are available and tailored to each individual couple.

I really want my invites to have cartoon characters or superheroes on them.

Sorry, we are unable to use any characters due to Copyright laws and licensing restrictions.

I saw these great invites online, can you copy it?

We cannot “copy” from a picture you provide due to copyright laws. We cannot use any images you supply unless you are the original author eg no images from Google can be supplied and used. We are also unable to use characters (such a cartoon characters and superheroes) due to licensing restrictions.

All of our designs are protected by Copyright under Australian law and may not be reproduced in anyway.

What are specialty print techniques?

Specialty printing are those that are above and beyond our digital printing capabilities. 

This includes foil printing, letter press, embossing and white ink (e.g. white printing on Kraft brown paper or black card).

We work closely with out-sourced printers to achieve these looks and will endeavour to step you through each of these processes to create your perfect invites.

Each of these techniques is charged in addition to our standard service and is itemised on your quote.

Can you send me the file to print my invitations myself?

The short answer, no. We are proud to provide you the complete Danger & Moon experience. Life is NOT a party for you if you are sitting around cutting paper. We are an easy and convenient service that creates, prints and assembles each order by hand for you.

Can I return my order?

We take great pride in the quality of our goods. All items are inspected prior to shipping. If, for any reason, goods are faulty in any way upon delivery we will exchange the item within 7 days of purchase. 

Under no circumstances will returned goods be accepted that have been written on/ clear signs of usage.

No custom orders can be returned for change of mind.

Can I change any details on a pre made invitation from your online store?

From our pre made range you are welcome to change any colours on an invite or change age (on relevant designs) for a flat $5 fee.

No party information or names can be added to pre made invites. This will classify the order as a "custom order"

Where do you print and what type of paper is it?

Our invites and stationery is handmade and unique with a little (or a lot!) of personality. All come with C6 Kraft envelopes. Invites and cards are printed in-house with high quality digital printers on 225gsm smooth white card stock (that’s sturdy in layman’s terms).

You can source other paper and envelopes at your request. This may incur an additional fee.

Can you print addresses on envelopes?

Yes. Yes we can. This is $1 per envelope (inc return address)

I have an idea for stationery for my party and I'm not sure if you can do it.

Just ask us!! We're limited only by imagination. We've made everything from birthday banners to cake toppers and menu's and even teacher's note and hen's and baby shower party games.

Do you ship internationally?

We are Australian based and are excited to be shortly launching International Shipping. Please email us orders@dangerandmoon.com if you are not in Australia and would love our goodies sooner.
